Michael Briggs
Michael has over 15 years of firearms training experience combined with high county mountain survival. His specialty was teaching back country guides in the mountains of Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming how to effectively stop a lethal confrontation with a handgun when confronted by grizzly bears or mountain lions. This unique skill set slowly evolved to the urban world when he moved from the mountains of Wyoming to the suburbs of Minnesota. Since moving to Minnesota in 1996 Michael has formerly been trained by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to instruct hunter education/firearms safety to beginners of all ages. Michael is also a life member of the (NRA) National Rifle Association and has completed the following disciplines, Basic Handgun, In home defense, Refuse to be a victim, and Outside of the home defense. Additional training was completed by (AACFI) American Association of Certified Firearms Instructors in Basic Handgun, and Minnesota Concealed Weapons permits. Michael has also completed training by the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification to instruct the Utah Concealed Weapons Permit. Most recently Michael has completed instructor training by Icon Services Corporation in Close protection and has quickly become Icon's National firearms instructor for all of their bodyguards. Last but not least Michael is approved to import/export firearms according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. (ATF). Michael is a nationally recognized trainer in close quarters tactical pistol shooting as well as a concealed weapons instructor for both civilians and close protection specialists. Along with his firearms instructor credentials he is an American Red Cross instructor in CPR/AED and first aid.
